Game Description

Source: Google Play. Checked 2026-10-24. Store-user rating, not an OOZGM test score. Availability and pricing can change.

Bloons TD 6 is a tower-defense game in which monkey towers and heroes stop waves of balloons from completing a route. Different towers and upgrade paths provide different tools. The official listing also describes cooperative play, challenges and additional event formats around that foundation.

The appeal is watching a plan work without directly controlling every attack. Placement and spending decisions create the system; the next wave tests it. A defense that clears ordinary traffic comfortably can still fail against a particular threat if its apparent strength hides a missing capability.

How To Play

  1. Choose an introductory map and place a basic defense where it covers a useful length of the path.
  2. Read upgrade effects and add answers to new balloon properties before committing all resources to damage alone.
  3. Observe the point where the defense begins to struggle, then revise placement or spending order and test the same map again.

Before you install

A good fit: Best for players who enjoy layered strategy, experimenting with combinations and seeing a planned system handle escalating pressure.

Consider: Many towers and modes create a substantial learning curve. A strategy that works under one rule set may fail under another, and purchases do not replace understanding coverage and counters.

Cover the threats your damage cannot solve

Before spending everything on more of a successful tower, consider whether the defense can handle the different properties introduced by the current mode. Range, targeting and special detection or damage needs can matter as much as a high upgrade tier. Read descriptions instead of assuming every attack interacts with every balloon in the same way.

Place towers where their useful coverage overlaps important parts of the route. A visually central location is not automatically the best one if obstacles or the path shape reduce the time targets remain in range. Observe where balloons escape the main damage area and reinforce that weakness deliberately.

Give each purchase a job

An upgrade should answer a question: more coverage, a specific counter, stronger support or preparation for a later wave. If you cannot explain its job, holding resources briefly may preserve better options. In a difficult attempt, review the first wave that strained the defense rather than only the wave that finally broke it.

Cooperative play introduces another planning layer because teammates may be covering related needs. Coordinate roles instead of duplicating the same opening everywhere. Events and challenge rules can also change what counts as a good plan, so read the conditions before importing a strategy from ordinary play. Optional purchases should be judged separately from the satisfaction of solving a map with the resources the mode provides.
